Без карысьці

 

 

Жывуць яны, быццам бы губкі ў вадзе,

Нічога ня створаць свайго анідзе.

Затое з усіх патрабуюць расплаты,

І ў кожным іх кроку ўсё ты вінаваты!

 

Яны бескарысьныя ў нашым жыцьці,

Як цень на сьцяне, як на камені мох.

Яны патрабуюць: «Вам трэба нясьці

Дабро ўсё для нас, мы ж ня зрушым і ног!»

 

Іх рукі ствараліся толькі прымаць,

Іх вочы напоўнены толькі зьдзіўленьнем:

«Чаму вы ня хочаце нам дагаджаць?

Чаму не ідзяце да нас са служэньнем?»

 

Сядзяць яны важна, нібыта на троне,

І гучна вяшчаюць пра правы свае:

«Мы — сэрца сусьвету ў сьвятой абароне,

Працуйце для нас, пакуль сілаў стае!

А мы будзем толькі ў спакоі прымаць,

Бо мы — бескарысьныя! Нас — шанаваць!»

 

Але наступае гадзіна адплаты,

Дарогі пусьцеюць вакол на вачах.

Ніхто не нясе ім дабро ў іх палаты,

І болей ніхто ня ўкленчыць у нагах.

 

І вось застаюцца з сабою ў журбе,

Як лісьце сухое на сьцюжным вятры.

Як гук, што ў пустэльні ўсё чуе сябе,

Як цень без аб'екта на мёртвым двары.

 

Бо ісьціна сьвету заўсёды такая:

Яе не схаваеш, яна не зьнікае.

Хто людзям нічога свайго не дае —

Той ўрэшце зусім анічога ня мае!

 

Вось пісаў верш, стараўся, спрабаваў выкрыць каго-небудзь – цэлы дзень, між іншым, змарнаваў... – а потым задумаўся і зразумеў, што гэта пра мяне. Адно толькі цешыць, што я такі бяскарысны і такі велікадушны, што магу заўважаць усе свае недахопы...
